It’s Quiet Uptown

This collaborative work, titled “It’s Quiet Uptown”, delved into emotionally intentional movement, with a focus on initiation driven by raw emotion. As I explored my personal emotional response to the desire for growth, wanting to transcend the limitations of who I am in the present, this piece became a journey of transformation. The choreography was shaped by the dynamic interplay of athleticism and meaning, with movements designed to reflect the gradual development of growth, grace, and beauty. Central to this exploration was the collaborative effort, as working with a partner allowed for a shared pursuit of goals, embodying the process of reaching towards something greater. Through this work, the emotional motives behind the movement spoke to the universal human desire to evolve and become more than we are.

This was an artistic work that was performed and competed nationally. The piece “It’s Quiet Uptown” was made in collaboration with Collaboration with Logan Barnes(Dancer), Katey Cox(Dancer), Curt Holman, Ryan Dilello, Kayci Treu, Shane Jenson, and Shannon Jenson
